Frequently Asked Questions

Do schools legally require first aid trained staff?

Schools should carry out a first aid needs assessment and ensure appropriate first aid provision for pupils, staff and visitors. This will usually be a mix of Paediatric First Aid courses, First Aid at Work courses and specific Allergens and Anaphylaxis training for all staff.

Can training be delivered to large groups in school?

Yes, we have 12 highly qualified instructors so multiple groups can be run in school on the same day. Our courses can be for smaller groups of up to 6 learners or our largest school inset training day was for 120 learners.

Can training be delivered at our school?

Yes. We provide on-site training throughout Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Worksop and all surrounding areas.

Do you provide inset day training?

Absolutely. Many schools choose to schedule training during inset days to minimise disruption, we also provide split courses and twilight sessions.

Is AED training included?

Yes. CPR and defibrillator training is incorporated for both Adults and Children on all our courses as standard.

Can training be tailored to our school?

Yes. We regularly adapt training to reflect specific risks, pupil needs and school policies. Our 1 day Emergency First Aid in Schools course has already been adapted to the school environment, incorporating the Emergency First Aid at Work course syllabus and covers Allergens & Anaphylaxis. This course includes both Adult and Child CPR & Choking protocols so covers you under both the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) & Ofsted.
