BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Our aim is to make it as easy as possible to book with Emergency Response Training Ltd.
Please ensure that all delegates attending courses have a good understanding of written English (L1 Literacy) and inform us prior to attending should anyone require any additional support or assistance in this area.
Standard Courses

Bookings may be made by email, website or telephone.

Payment should be made within 30 days of invoice date or prior to the course start date.

Should circumstances mean that you need to transfer to another course, then the following charges will apply dependent on notice given:
More than 4 weeks prior to course start date booked
No Charge
2 – 4 weeks prior to course start date booked
25% course transfer fee
Less than 2 weeks prior to course start date booked
50% course transfer fee

If you must cancel your course and are unable to transfer your booking to another date at the time of cancellation, the following charges will apply:
More than 4 weeks prior to course start date booked
No Charge
2 – 4 weeks prior to course start date booked
50% of full course fee
Less than 2 weeks prior to course start date
Full course Fee – No refund
Cancellation or transfer must be made in writing and received by Emergency Response Training Ltd.

If you do not attend a course, and have not previously informed us, the full course fee is payable in full.

If you arrive late for a course, or are absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept you for training if we feel you will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee is payable. To conform with Health and Safety Executive requirements for Statutory Certificates, attendance at all sessions is mandatory.

Emergency Response Training Ltd reserves the right to cancel any course if there are insufficient numbers to run a viable course. In such circumstances, you will be given as much notice as possible and the offer of a free transfer to another course date, or a full refund.
Guidelines for Candidates and Employers on attending courses with Emergency Response Training Ltd.
Identification
Please ensure that all delegates are aware that a form of photo identification should with them on the course they are attending, and this will need to be presented to the instructor at course registration.
First Aid Courses
Duties of a First Aider within the workplace can be physically demanding. It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that candidates are free from any condition which would affect their capability, and that they have the aptitude to cope with an intensive course of study. To comply with the UK Resuscitation Council CPR protocols and the recovery position must be demonstrated on the day of training.
We welcome candidates with disabilities for training, but it remains their employer’s responsibility to ensure that they are appropriately supported in their workplace.
Employers must ensure that delegates booked to attend the 2-day First Aid at Work Re-qualification Course are in possession of a valid First Aid at Work Certificate which is ‘in date’ on the last day of the Re-qualification course and this must be present to Emergency Response Training prior to the course attendance date.
Dress Code
Due to the practical nature of some courses especially fire safety & first aid, please advise your candidate to wear suitable casual clothing and footwear. Please note that those attending in inappropriate clothing may be refused entry to the course.
Mental Health Courses
This qualification is available to all learners aged 16 or over. This course may not be suitable for everyone, and it is recommended that employers discuss the course content with all delegates prior to booking.
All Courses
It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that all candidates possess a minimum of level 1 in literacy or equivalent to undertake our qualifications.
It may be possible to grant a reasonable adjustment for a learner who has a disability, medical condition or learning need following our company and approval body’s Reasonable Adjustment and Special Consideration Policy. For example, assistance could be given with reading or writing during a classroom-based assessment. If this is the case, please provide us with 7 days’ notice prior to the course date to ensure this can be arranged.
All delegates attending courses must have a valid form of Identification which must be brought with them when attending one of our training courses.
Course Certificates
Here at Emergency Response Training Ltd our policy is to issue all certificates within 14 days of the course attendance date. All certificates are issued in PDF downloadable format please check ‘spam/junk folders’ in case certificates/emails from Emergency Response Training have ended up in there. We send the certificates directly to the person who booked the training unless requested otherwise. This is eligible for all course apart from certificates issued by IOSH.
