Service Description

This Course is for those working in environments where the use of hazardous substances is an identified risk. The qualification introduces the principles of working with substances classified under COSHH. Learners may be working with cleaning chemicals in roles such as housekeeping, leisure staff or maintenance workers. Course Requirements: None Trainer Ratio: 12 Contact Time - 4 Hours This course provides people with the knowledge to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in their workplace by introducing candidates to the inherent risks in substances and the controls available. Course contents include: -identification of hazards associated with substances -understanding of risks and controls available to deal with substances -what to expect from a COSHH assessment.
