Course Overview

The QNUK Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling at Work (RQF) is a 4-hour accredited course designed to improve workplace safety and reduce the risks associated with manual handling tasks. Learners gain essential knowledge of safe movement principles, risk assessment, equipment use, and legal responsibilities under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.

Delivered at our Canberra House training centre in Doncaster or on-site across Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and Humberside, this short, focused course helps employers meet compliance requirements while equipping staff with practical, relevant skills.

  • Describe safe movement principles and correct lifting techniques

  • Select appropriate manual handling equipment

  • Understand testing, servicing, and examination requirements for handling and lifting equipment
